Marilyn Manson Australian Tour 2012 – Soundwave Sidewaves

Marilyn Manson has announced Australian tour dates on the back of their appearance on the Soundwave 2012 line-up next year. They’ll be doing 3 sideshows at Eaton Hill Hotel in Brisbane, Enmore Theatre in Sydney and Metro City in Perth, with Coal Chamber and Wednesday 13 and Motionless in White.

Very rarely does an artist come along that defies the boundaries of convention and remains relevant in a storied career spanning over two decades, selling in excess of 50 million albums. Marilyn Manson has successfully pioneered ‘Shock Rock’ whilst redefining alternative music, blazing a trail of controversy and originality.

Joining Manson will be the recently reformed Coal Chamber. Disbanding at the peak of their career in 2002, Coal Chamber will be joining the Soundwave tour as well as Manson on his Sidewaves.

Forming whilst on hiatus with Murderdolls, Wednesday 13 has firmly cemented himself as the leader in Horrorpunk. With an unruly live show of fun and debauchery.

With a blend of intense melodic metal and a penchant for the macabre, Motionless in White is taking the metal world by storm. Their spectacular debut album Creatures has fans and critics alike singing their praises.

Ipswich Events: Put Some Holly Under The Christmas Tree - THE CLASS OF '59

HAPPY DAYS RECORDS by special arrangement with BIG AL DELVECCHIO presents

THE CLASS OF '59

Australia, it’s back… by overwhelmingly popular demand!

Happy Days Records by special arrangement with its president “Big Al Delvecchio” brings this unique concept to the stage with new stars and memories from the era that reigns supreme in Rock N Roll history. Big Al – world famous drive-in owner of Al’s Diner – has cooked up a rock and roll feast large enough to whet any appetite assembling the greatest band ever to take you back to a decade that created music legends and influenced a formidable culture, performing a catalogue where their songs are timeless, their hits are endless, and their flair is never forgotten. Rock like never before and take the journey back to the Class of 59!

Rock N Roll`s immortal journalist Ritchie Yorke described 2011’s Class of 59 tour as “an outstanding and exciting new original show that tells the story of when rock `n’ roll music was a happy and exuberant experience. With a multi-talented cast, the show delivers a stack of red hot tracks in an appropriate context. Rock `n’ Roll comes alive again in this terrific show worthy of an international audience.’’

Dance with us back to an era when rock and roll influenced and created a social movement for the teenagers of its day… an era where black horned rimmed glasses became a trend… an era where petrol was so cheap that it fuelled not only the hot rods on the roads but fired up a musical movement that would only be lived for a short while but would last in the hearts and souls of billions for eternity. It is this era that will be recreated on stage ….

Fans of the show will be able to take their concert experience home with them with the purchase of the official “Class of 59” tour CD featuring a compilation of the hits from the golden era performed on the tour and will be available only
on this tour.

STARRING:
Buddy Holly – Scott Cameron
Elvis Presley – Anthony Petrucci
Johnny Cash – Daniel Thompson

System of a Down to Bounce Sydney and Melbourne in 2012

There is no other band around who can match the audacity, intensity and progressive nature of SYSTEM OF A DOWN.

With SYSTEM OF A DOWN operating at such astonishing creative and emotional heights they quite simply leave the rest of the herd scrabbling in the dust.

It was 2001’s ‘Toxicity’ that cemented their reputation. With every track tightly coiled,
urgent and “cast in layers upon layers of aural intricacy, Toxicity charters new frontiers,
yet it’s still grinding rock at its most deafening.” – L.A Weekly

In 2005, against all odds, the completed Mezmerize/Hypnotize project was unleashed and it quickly became impossible to think of it as anything else than one epic piece of work. SYSTEM OF A DOWN delivered, and in doing so have given us one of the great rock double albums of all time…."rarely are albums this thrillingly original”. Q Mag

As the headliners for the 2012 Soundwave Festival, SYSTEM OF A DOWN will be bringing their frantic, frenetic and brutal live assault to Sydney and Melbourne for two headline sideshows only.
